| Description of Garden | Designer:
Hugh Dalrymple |
||||||||||||
| Set in the heart of the New Forest at Minstead, this delightful, informal garden was established in 1922 and offers extensive collections of azaleas and rhododendrons. There is a sensory garden, lake, heather garden and a host of Summer and Winter flowering shrubs and trees of botanical interest at all seasons. Younger visitors are entertained by the play log cabins but of more general is interest is the kitchen and original fireback and bread oven in the restored Forest Cottage which dates back to 1560. | |||||||||||||
