| Description of Garden | Designer:
Sir Roger Pratt in 1663 |
||||||||||||
| At Kingston Lacy there are 32 acres of garden and woodland with rosebeds and extensive lawns approximately of 6 acres. The garden includes a Parterre with formal bedding scheme, Victorian fernery and a sunken garden. Further on is a nursery wood. The trail then leads to an area called Blindwalk which leads to the Cricket Walk. The visitor then encounters Lime Avenue, planted in the 17th century, and soon after that Laurel Walk. Cedar of Lebanon trees form the Cedar Avenue which leads from the Nursery Wood and back to the house. There is also a huge Copper Beech. |

| History of Garden | |||||||||||||
| During the 18th century the garden was landscaped in traditional style. The parterre was laid out in 1899. | |||||||||||||
