 Description of Garden
Designer:
Besthorpe Hall has a lovely old formal garden within Tudor enclosures and features a good collection of magnolias, wisteria and a wide variety of herbaceous plants and shrubs. The wall plants and climbers are especially interesting to keen horticulturalists. There is also some good topiary and extensive herbaceous borders.
Wildflower conservation meadows have recently been reintroduced to the surrounding area.
 History of Garden
There have been formal gardens here since the 17th century and the fine brickwork and archways are original. This is a historic garden.
