 Description of Garden
Designer: Thomas Dawson
A woodland garden mixing the formal and informal within a dramatic landscape. The main features are the original topiary and balustrading by Dawson. The rhododendron collection complements the many interesting flowering shrubs and ornamental trees. Other features include a rose garden and dutch garden, a lady's walk and pet cemetery.
 History of Garden
Thomas Dawson was contracted by Colonel Sandys in 1896 to create a garden utilising the natural landscape. Knill Freedman and Dan Gibson's influence is evident in sundials and wrought iron work.
