Description of Garden

Within the 50-acre estate, this wonderful and inspiring garden has been beautifully restored over the last 14 years. Framed on 3 sides by a Saxon moat, the knot garden of intricate design has fragrant beds of flowers and herbs and is bordered by clipped hedges and topiary. Beyond, find a grass amphitheatre, large lake, lawn, bee hives, wisteria-draped Japanese bridge, sunken rose garden with tranquil lily pond and a glasshouse.

History Of Garden

Great Fosters is a fine example of Elizabethan architecture; set amongst 50 acres of stunning gardens and parkland in Egham, Surrey. Probably built as a Royal Hunting lodge and very much a stately home since the 16th century, today Great Fosters is a prestigious hotel.
