Bigwood Description of Garden: A 9-acre hillside garden which is still being restored. It has a large collection of rhododendrons, azaleas and magnolias with some fine specimen trees and, in its mixed borders, many rare plants. The majority of the plants are labelled. There is also a Victorian folly, a rock garden and water cascade, new rainbow borders and a rill to complete the picture. There are fine views from the garden over the North Downs. History: Originally Charts Edge was a Victorian House and garden in private ownership. In the 1970s it was sold to an equestrian family who neglected the garden, but it has been restored by the present owners since they bought it in 1989.
