It is divided into several parts, each with its own character. It is a plantman's garden, but plants take second place to good design. Two miles from the Solent, the relatively mild climate encourages the growing of some less hardy plants. It is a green garden with many evergreens but there are always seasonal flowers. History: Designed and developed by the owner since 1967 when the bungalow was built. Widening of the road in 1972 led to the making of the long walk and the line of paulownias, now 40ft high. The latest innovation is a garden with pot standing path to the north. Over the years much development has occured around Heathlands, which is now a quiet oasis in a busy area.
