Designer: Description of Garden: The Walled Garden features a contemporary Victorian design of triumphal arches of Victoria plums, festooned with roses, and hot houses of tropical plants. The formal terraces, recently opened for visitors, have stunning views of the Solent. The Swiss Cottage, which was designed for the Royal Children to play in, contains complete furniture specially made for them and is surrounded by gardens where the children grew their own vegetables, which they could then cook in the kitchen of their Cottage. The little museum next door features objects collected by them.
