Designer: Pyllis Reiss Description of Garden: A delightful 2 acre formal garden, created in the last century around a 17th century manor house. It has small pools, varied borders and secluded lawns that are all neatly enclosed within walls and clipped hedges. There is also an attractive kitchen garden. History: Phyllis Reiss from Hull designed and worked on these gardens from 1933 until her death in 1961. She left Tintinhull to the National Trust in 1953. In 1980 Penelope Hobhouse became tenant and for the next fourteen years continued to experiment and rejuvenate the garden.
