Everything has been planted since then around some magnificent trees, three ponds and a stream running through the garden. The pleached Lime walk runs down the Herbaceous Borders - which are edged by many different varieties of Hosta. In the walled garden are a mass of of delphiniums and peonies, together with a large culinary and medicinal garden. Also there is a Wild Flower meadow and yellow and white rose garden, not forgetting the 20-acre wood and lakes. A truly peaceful and magical place to visit on our perfect summer's day! History: Our Herb Garden was designed by Lucy Huntingdon. Tania Compton designed part of our second go at the Herbaceous Borders - very successfully. The remainder has all been done 'in-house', mainly by the previous Head Gardener - Robin Mason and currently by his successor - Linette Applegate.
