Description of Garden:
Westonbury Mill Water Gardens Nr Pembridge. Signposted of A44, 4 miles from Kington, 1.5 miles from Pembridge. Laid out around a tangle of streams and ponds the 3 acre garden hosts a huge collection of moisture loving plants growing with lush abundance. You can walk through a jungle of the huge leaves of gunnera, wander round the wild flower meadow or sit on one of the plentiful seats. The garden is fun too: there is a castellated tower with gargoyles which spout jets of water, and a fern grotto with a domed roof made of wine bottles which sparkle in the sun. It has recently attracted feature articles in the Times, Telegraph, Country Life, Country Living and English Garden. There is a newly developed plant nursery and a tea room which serves morning coffee, light lunches and afternoon teas.
