Overview:

Gardens-Guide.com has had a very succesful year, with over 250,000 unique visitors in 2011, and almost 2,000 pages viewed per day between March and September. We remain the premiere online directory of open gardens in the UK and Ireland today.

It is vitally important that the many visitors to your garden's page see the correct information, particularly for opening hours and dates. Those gardens which do not update these times will surely inconvenience and upset those who plan to visit you. We are entirely dependent on your provision of correct info for the many, many daily visitors to Gardens-Guide.com.

Over the last ten years, Gardens-Guide.com has been proud to offer fully free listings to you, based on our ability to defray our operating costs with discrete advertising, and by using (inexpensive) student assistance for data entry and ongoing updates throughout the year.

Unfortunately in these harder economic times, we no longer have enough ad revenue to cover our costs for a free-placement directory, and this year students for our main update in January have not been available. In this situation, we find we must charge a small fee for listings in the guide to cover our costs.

The fee for your 2012 updates will be £8.00 per garden listing. We realize that some of you operate your gardens (and house) admissions essentially "free" with income donated to the NGS or other charities. For those of you who truly operate this way, we will only charge £4.00 this year.

Quick & Easy Update Method:

After you have paid the update fee here, please go to your garden page via the "Garden Finder" link (top of page here, near left) and then click on the "Text-Only version here" link on your garden's page (just below and to the left of the picture).

Copy all of the text into an email to us, making and highlighting any changes you wish in red (or by noting them with **stars** etc). New picures should be at least 1000 x 1000 pixels in size and attached to your email.
