Sculpture For the Garden at the Savill Garden
Location and Contact details here
through 21 October 2013

During September and October, visitors to The Savill Garden will be able to explore and enjoy a display of imaginative and innovative sculptures which form an exciting exhibition for all to see. The sculptures, which have been inspired by the natural world, are available to purchase upon visiting the gardens and standard Savill Garden entry fees apply.

Sculptor and exhibition organiser, Mike Bigland added: "My sculptures do not imitate nature but draw from the essential structure and representation of the plants. The pieces enhance summer plantings and provide plants and flowers through the winter against a backdrop of stone walls, hedges and evergreen areas. They also provide a habitat for insects and shelter from predators. The structures warm up quickly in the sun which attracts insects; and catch the snow in the winter."

Once you have walked around the 35 acres which make up The Savill Garden, visitors can walk around the Savill Building and enjoy a lovely meal or a warm coffee in The Savill Restaurant or the Gallery Coffee Shop. There is also a gift shop available and an outdoor plant centre, where you can purchase potted plants and take them home with you.
